Easy Baked Ziti

My husband loves baked ziti more than almost any other dish, so I wanted to figure out how to make an easy baked ziti that still was delicious enough to hold up to his other favorite baked zitis. I luvv that this dish is not only simple, but that it last for DAYS in our house because it is so dang hearty. As a person that always tries to minimize the work of cooking, I can tell you I appreciate that this one simple dish can take care of at least three dinners in our house with having some to spare for lunches.DSC_04871 This serves as a stark constrast to the meal I made last week . There is nothing clean about this, but let me tell you, it is dang delicious. When it gets cold like this, sometimes it takes a pasta bake to warm us back up.


INGREDIENTS 1 lb of hamburger meat 1 can of stewed tomatoes 4 cups of spaghetti sauce 2 cups of parmesan 2 cups of mozzarella 2 boxes of ziti noodles 2 tablespoons parsely 2 tablespoons oregano 2 cloves of garlic DIRECTIONS You will start of preparing this dish like any other pasta dish. Get your water boiling and get your sauce going. First, start with a dash of olive oil and a clove of garlic and then add in the hamburger meat. Cook the hamburger until browned, then you can start your spaghetti sauce. When cooking the spaghetti sauce, add your stewed tomatoes,  1 tablespoon of parsley, and 1 tablespoon of oregano. Let this simmer in the dish while the water boils.DSC_04521 Once the water reaches a boil, cook the noodles for about 5-6 minutes. DSC_04561 Now that you have the noodles ready and the sauce ready, it's time to create the bake. Get your biggest casserole dish out and create a layer of noodles. You will fill up half of the casserole dish with a layer of noodles and then a layer of sauce. DSC_04741 DSC_04801 DSC_04891 Top this half layer with 1 cup of mozzarella and 1 cup of parmesan. Next, pour the remaining noodles and sauce on the mix on top. Top that with the remaining cheeses and spices.  DSC_05101 Lastly, it's time to bake! Cook this 25 minutes.
