The Washington Regional NICU Reunion was held on Saturday April 15th to celebrate children's and family's triumphant graduation from the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) at WRMC. The trials these children and families overcome can be unimaginable and overwhelming at times. This reunion is designed for families and the NICU team to reunite and celebrate the many victories and achievements of these children.
When I heard of the event, I knew it would be perfect for Hello Luvvy to sponsor a fun photo booth for these families. As a NICU nurse, getting to see these babies growing, smiling, and doing so well is encouraging to say the least. Thanks so much to the parents who brought their children, you made our year.
The reunion included face painting by Pickled Paintings, cake and refreshments donated by local businesses, the Hello Luvvy photo booth, and the creation of a quilt that when finished will be hung in the Women's Center at WRMC. Here are a few photos from the reunion.
