Today's project is a very simple one. Continuing with fall décor, I will be showing you how I painted a pumpkin for my front porch. I find painted pumpkins much preferable to carved ones because they last so much longer and have much less mess.
You will need:
-A pumpkin
-Two colors of craft paint
-A paintbrush
-Spray glitter
First, I painted my pumpkin an off-white color. It will probably take you a couple of coats in order to get an even solid color.
This is what mine looked like after about 3 coats of craft paint.
I chose to draw a petal/ teardrop shape with my second color of paint. I made these all the way around the pumpkin.
Like the white paint, your second color may need more than one layer in order to cover evenly.
Now for the fun part! Once my pumpkin was completely dry, I spray painted it with gold glitter to add a fun touch.
What do you luvvies think? It definitely added some interest to my porch, though I fear the number of pumpkins I have sitting out there will only grow!
