On Trend: How to Wear White Eyeliner
Now that Easter is over, we can all finally bust out our white spring clothes! I have white jeans and a white blazer that I've just been dying to wear, and now I have a very chic makeup trend to accompany them. The color-blocked eyeliner trend is HOT HOT HOT right now, and (as an upcoming bride), I am really feeling the white liner look. It's a bold and easy way to update your daily makeup, plus it channels that mega-fab 60s mod makeup style (think: Twiggy). In my tutorial I am using a cheap white retractable liner by NYX. You'll want to start with totally naked lids, then cover each with a eye primer. I did the rest of my makeup, then primed my lids with Revlon's PhotoReady eye primer/ brightener. Now apply your white liner just as you would any regular pencil liner. I added a little wing on each to give this ulta-mod trend a little flick of femininity. To soften the look of your liner just a bit, try topping your entire lid with a soft, shimmery shadow in a champagne or pearl shade. I used Venus, from Urban Decay's Naked Basics palette. Add some black mascara and you're finished! I'm still obsessed with Benefit Cosmetics' Roller Lash, so that's what I used to finish up this fun, graphic makeup style. Welcome the new spring season with bright eyes! And don't forget to add some lipstick.
