For virtually all of my adulthood I have gifted my mom with fresh flowers from our local farmer's market for Mother's Day. I typically just grab a vase out of her cabinet, stick in the flowers, and call it a day. I mean, who doesn't love getting flowers, but this year I got to thinking. Many moms subscribe to the "it's the thought that counts" philosophy when it comes to receiving gifts, especially when the gifter is one of their children. Even better, what mom doesn't love to receive a gift that one of her children spent time making. This year, I decided to combine my mom's love of a beautiful spring bouquet with this easy but adorable DIY!
You Will Need:
-1 Watering can
-1 Can of Spray Paint
-Acrylic paint in the color of your choice
First, spray paint your watering can. It is probably going take a few coats, depending on the paint you selected. The color shown here is a glossy ivory.
Next, using the acrylic paint, paint a sweet personal message or design. This is the fun part because you can get as creative as you like. I think it would be really adorable to let the kids do this part, if they are helping you with your craft!
Do you luvvly ladies have any Mother's Day gift traditions or ideas? We would love to hear them!
