by 2 June 23, 2014The second-best thing about a cherry popsicle is the perfect lip stain it leaves behind. But what if we could find a way to create that fruity, punchy lip color without also staining our teeth and tongue bright red in the process? Here's how I recreate what I'm calling the "popsicle pout," a look I'm seeing everywhere this summer. The products: 1) Etude House Kissful Lip Care Concealer 2) Etude House Dear Darling Lip Tint in #2 Real Red 1) I applied a small dot of the lip concealer in the center of both my top and bottom lip. Then I used my finger tip to softly spread the lip concealer out to cover and prime my whole mouth. 2) Next I used the lip wand to apply the tint on the innermost part of my top and bottom lips. This technique (straight out of the top Korean beauty blogs) is meant to make the lips look smaller and brighter, and therefore more youthful. Plus it's the perfect trend to try this summer as it looks like you've just eaten a popsicle. I softened the ombre-d look by adding one final layer of clear lip balm. Using a lip tint gives you the soft, glossy wear of a lip gloss with the staying power of a stain. Perfect for summer! **This look can easily be copied using whatever concealer you have lying around (applied with your fingertip or a lip brush) and any highly-pigmented gloss! Now go put on some lip tint! Or grab a cherry popsicle.
