MAGIC. Yes. This recipe has magic in the title. It's safe to say that anytime a recipe works up to earning the name "magic" anything, it is pretty darn delicious. This is no exception. Most of you have probably had magic cookie bars at sometime in your life, sometimes called seven layer magic cookie bars; if you haven't, you need to get on that ASAP- right after making my version of the magic.
Last week, several of you might have seen the S'mores skillet that Buzzfeed posted
. I saw it everywhere on Facebook, and it never failed to make my mouth drool. When I saw the recipe, I thought about how versatile this method of cooking actually is. Essentially, get some ingredients together, heat, and BOOM amazing dessert. That's when I decided I should try to use that method to transfrom one of my favorite desserts from a 30-40 minute process into a ten minute one. Let me say, it was probably one of my more brilliant ideas. This is so rich and so, so good. It's an easy way to get an impressive dessert in with only ten minutes of your time spared. TRY it! It is truly magical.
MAGIC COOKIE DIP
Sweetened Condensed Milk
Before you yell at me about the serving sizes not being listed, hear me out. The amount needed for this recipe will truly depend on the pan you use and how heavy handed you want to be. You will make a layer using each ingredient, so just use enough to do so.
First, you will make a layer of condensed milk as your base.
Then a layer of chocolate chips.
Next a layer of butterscotch chips.
Now the walnuts. Pecans or walnuts would be great here, depending on your preference. I only covered half because my husband isn't really a fan, but again, follow whatever sounds good to you.
Put the layer of coconut on top of the walnuts.
Lastly, the marshmallows. You will make a circle of marshmallows on top of the other layers. Don't mind if they're not touching at first, once the marshmallows are heated, they will fill up the entirety of the space.
After all of the layering is done, it's time to bake this. Bake at 425F for 10 minutes.
BOOM. MAGIC. AMAZING.
You serve this with graham crackers or even apple slices if you're looking for something to make it a little healthier.
There are several ways to serve this. You can serve it straight from the pan and just let people dip with their graham crackers into the pan. You can serve it on a plate surrounded by graham crackers, OR you can let people make their own magic cookie s'more.
This dip is versatile, quick, and so scrumptious. It is truly magical and not to be missed. Try it and let me know what you think! Instagram and hashtag #howluvvly or comment below!
