For today's DIY, I would like to share with you a project I recently did for Ezra's nursery. I think it is one that can be easily adapted to fit any space in your home that is needing a bit of pizzaz!
You will need:
-A scrap piece of card stock
To begin, you will want to draw your blueprint shape on your card stock. You can use a stencil, or freehand it if you prefer. I went with the latter in order to achieve a more "sketched" look. Whichever route you take, once you have your basic arrow shape you will need to cut it out.
Next, tear off a sheet of your wax paper and begin taping down strips of washi tape. There are two things to remember here: 1) You want the area you cover with washi tape to be larger than the shape you drew. 2) Each piece of washi tape needs to slightly overlap the piece next to it.
Now turn over the piece of wax paper so that your washi tape is face down. Trace the shape you created earlier with cardstock on the backside of the wax paper. Once you have done this, you can cut out the new shape you have traced.
Now for the fun part! Once you peel away the washi tape from the wax paper, you have a wall decal ready to stick to whatever surface is needing some fun in your home! I'm sure this will vary by washi tape brand, wall paint, and surface texture, but my decals have been easy to move and re-stick and have caused no issues with peeling up my paint! (Perfect if, like me, you don't own your home.)
Hope you luvvies enjoyed!
