by 2 May 16, 2016Happy Monday, luvvies! Today I am proud to bring you my glowing review of the hottest new cheek products for summer: Pop Beauty's Pow Wow Powder bronzing and blusher palettes. Pop Beauty is a fab London-based drugstore beauty brand that offers the most vibrant color palettes, lip shades, and eye makeup (check out their entire line here). So I was more than thrilled when they reached out to us here at HL and offered to send me some of their new summer beauty line to try out for all of you-- especially since you're going to be able to pick up this awesome British brand at your nearest Walgreen's! Today's post focuses on two of their cheek palettes: Beachin' Bronze and Rockin' Rouge. Both of these quad palettes contain gorgeous, summery shades that smooth and perfect the look of your complexion. I love that their bronzing palette offers four shades of contouring powder, so even the palest gals can use it to create a gorgeous summer glow. To use the bronzer, collect the product on an angled brush and sweep it lightly under your cheekbones. Yes, this requires you to make a fish-face. Pull your angled brush from the hollows of your cheekbones back toward your earlobe and blend the bronzer up into your hairline. I also like to brush a soft line of bronzing powder under my jawline to add a little more definition. The Rockin' Rouge blush palette also contains four gorgeous shades-- some with shimmer, some that are matte. Use a fluffy round brush to apply the blush right onto the apple of your cheeks (above the bronzer you just applied). Sweep the blush back toward your ear. Another wonderful thing about the Pow Wow Powder palettes is that they give you the opportunity to create lots of different looks with the varying shades. You can use the lighter shades to build a more day-time look, or you can apply the darker shades for a more dramatic contoured look. Either way, your skin will look divine.
