by 1 January 12, 2016Hello, luvvies! I hope 2016 is treating you well so far. I'm sure you've been crazy busy like us, but I hope you've been able to take some time to reflect and look forward. Personally, 2015 was a little crazy. I started the year having left an eight year-long nursing career to pursue my creative endeavors. As with anything, there have been some great days and some really bad days but I feel lucky to say that I simply took a leap and I am still moving forward. I am now the manager of one of my all time favorite boutiques in Fayetteville, Maude; and I am working one day a week at the hospital to keep my nursing skills and license current (and to luvv on some of my favorite people). :) Working at Maude has been so wonderful. I mean, obviously I get to work with beautiful clothes all day, but its way more than that. I work with amazing people—something I'm learning is most important. And simply put, being there makes me happy. I hope where ever you are in your career journey, you are considering your happiness. It took me a long time to embrace something so simple, but it can make all the difference in the energy you put out into the world and the people around you. As far as Hello Luvvy goes, Katie, Melinda and I are super excited about 2016. Be on the look out for a fresh new look on the blog and some great content coming your way. We aren't going anywhere and we are so excited to keep sharing with you all! Now, back to those beautiful clothes! ; ) In retail, we are currently gearing up for Spring (oh my!), but before we start talking about that here on the blog, there are some winter styles that are currently my personal uniform. This outfit is all about a chic twist on some grungy classics. I've paired a buffalo check flannel and boyfriend jeans with lace-up pumps, glamy statement earrings and a basic clutch. Check it out!
