Best Sunless Tanners for Summer 2015
Well luvvs, you've probably all caught on to the super-fun beachy theme we're playing with this month here at HL; and now it's time for me to put together my list of the top self-tanning products! As I've mentioned before, I just don't seem to tan in the sun (or the tanning bed) as evenly as I once did; because of this, at-home sunless tanners have become my go-to for summer skin prep. Before you go shopping for any of the these awesome self-tanners, make sure your skin is prepared by exfoliating with a scrub and then moisturizing after your shower. This will allow a smoother, more even application and will hopefully help you avoid any gross streaks or drips! 1. Suave Visible Glow If you're trying to achieve a killer gradual tan at home, (without breaking the bank), this daily lotion by Suave is the way to go. If you haven't heard, Suave is a brand notorious for doing exactly what the salon/department store products can do, but at a fraction of the price. This lotion is perfect for those of you fair-skinned luvvies who are ready to patiently build a pretty, streak-free sunless tan. 2. Sephora Gradual Self-Tanning Face Water I know what you're thinking: face water?! But yes, this is a seriously legit way to achieve a soft glow on your face without burdening down your sensitive facial skin with a thick lotion. This face water by Sephora is applied by wetting a cotton ball and smoothing over your clean face; and while it is a tad more expensive, a little bit of this product goes a long way. 3. Lorac TANtalizer Another great product with another punny name, this self-tanning body spray by Lorac gives you immediate results without any mess on your hands. The spray provides a quick-drying tan that moisturizes and protects skin with yummy ingredients like acai berry, pomegranate, and vitamins A and E. Plus you get to apply it with this adorbs little buff puff, which helps you avoid streaks and orange palms! 4. St. Tropez Self Tan Luxe Oil And now for something completely new and different: this dry oil from St. Tropez is a super luxurious way to create an at-home tan. This is another pricey self-tanner, but it allows for an immediate glow that will last for up to ten days. Plus, the dry oil formula softens skin without any obvious "self-tanner" odor. I absolutely love this product for a quick all-over bronze before a wedding date or a night out. 5. Australian Gold Instant Bronze Self-Tanning Lotion Australian Gold, the brand most famous for its tanning oils, has finally gotten in on the self-tanner game and we are luvving it. This sunless tanning lotion gives you both an immediate bronzed look and a gradual, lasting glow. And you can snag this bottle for around $7! Start your summer off with a gorgeous, safe glow using any of the above products! And don't forget to jazz up your sunless tan with some lipstick.
