Beachy Style Outfit Post

Luvvies, I am not going to deny that I have been a little nervous about getting together a couple of beach-worthy outfits for the blog. While I love our theme this month, I am in one of those places where I feel less than beach ready. You know what I'm saying, ladies? I think it is that cultural standard of beauty that looms over us when we are getting ready to go to the beach. We think we have to have the perfect body, the perfect tan, the perfect hair, the perfect everything. But you know what's funny? As soon as you get to the beach, no one even gives a damn—at least I don't! I see the amazing water and feel the sun on back and I can't help but just get out and play, throwing my cares to the wind. I don't think about how tan I am not, or how good or bad my "beach body" is.  It's always a good reminder that no one cares about the way you look more than you do, so let's let those beauty standards go and have a great summer. This is a simple and comfortable bohemian look that I am luvving for summer. Check it out! summer dress summer dress straw purse summer dress

This dress is from the ol' Forever21 and I am totally obsessed with it. It may have mostly been intended as a cover up, but I have thrown a comfortable nude slip dress under it and plan to wear it all summer. The red embroidery is the luvvliest detail. The straw purse I am holding was purchased on my honeymoon in the Bahamas and it is still one of my favorite summertime accessories.

Lades, I hope you'll join me in throwing those beach body standards to the wind this summer.

Life is too short to worry a bout all of that!
