bacon wrapped water chestnuts

this might as well be called the most simple & crazy delicious appetizer you could make. my dad is known for his cooking and anyone who has been to his house have tried these tasty little treats. they are embarrassingly easy and so good! if you want to impress people you are having over or eat the whole plate yourself you will love these!

1 lb. bacon

1 can sliced water chestnuts

1 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons soy sauce

tooth picks

cut bacon slices in half and cook in a skillet just enough to get a little bit of the grease out, & then cool. the bacon pieces should still be very flexible and not at all crunchy.

mix together the soy sauce and brown sugar in a dish and coat each bacon piece with the brown sugar mixture. roll a water chestnut in the bacon and secure with a toothpick. place them on a foil lined, VERY, VERY greased cookie sheet.

bake in the oven at 375 degrees for 12 mins, or until nice and crispy.

ladies you have got to make these. i am not kidding, they really are THAT good! bet you can't eat just one!
