I hope you luvvies don't mind me filling in for one more fashion post this month! Today I have another fun retro piece from Emily's Onemanband. I know some of you are still of the mindset that the 1980s is a decade of fashion that you would rather not revisit, but maybe I can help warm you to the idea. Maybe it's because I'm a child of the 80s, but I have always loved the movies, music, and playful fashion trends that came out of that time. As I mentioned last week, I personally have the most fun when I am able to mix vintage and modern pieces in my wardrobe in creative ways. Still, when I do decide to wear a funkier vintage piece like the amazing acid wash skirt seen below, I am very careful how I build the rest of my outfit around it. I like to walk a line somewhere between funky and sophisticated if I can manage it. Here I combined my skirt with a modern sweater and pair of boots and thrifted vintage accessories. Oh, and I threw in that high ponytail just for good measure!!
P.S.- Isn't the bow detail on the skirt the sweetest little surprise?!
